Before embarking on my academic and professional journey, I spent 10 years as a welder, which gave me a deep appreciation for blue-collar trades. As a first-generation college student, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University and was named the 2014 New Century Scholar from Maine. My career includes an NIH Fellowship with the University of New England, where I conducted neuroscience research; and years of private-sector speech pathology tutoring where I oversaw a study on dyslexia with Georgetown University.
My dedication to leveraging technology for innovative solutions is demonstrated through my founding of TutorInVR, a platform that hopes to revolutionize education through virtual reality. I have also initiated successful educational programs, including college food pantries, showcasing my commitment to community service and improving accessibility in education.
